Parent Workshop

Hamline University - Anderson Center (Room 111) - 774 Snelling Ave N, St Paul

Parents of youth with epilepsy are welcome to join us to discuss anti-seizure medications and how to work with your child’s school.

Dr. Doug Smith from Minnesota Epilepsy Group will present "Seizure Drugs 101: Of all the seizure drugs to choose from, how does your doctor pick which medication (or medications) are best?" What medications are more likely to make you sleepy or "drunk?" Dr. Smith will review all medication options currently available, discuss possible side effects, and share the secrets of how doctors choose from them.

Donna McKenny, BSN, will discuss the various aspects that go into working and communicating with your child’s school and best practices to ensure the most positive and successful outcomes.

Advance registration required here or contact 651.287.2310 with any questions. $10 cost includes lunch. Free ramp parking available.
